Welcome to Cherith Brook Farm!

Thank you for stopping by to read our story and meet our fabulous Friesians. We are so glad you are here!

In 2016 we stumbled upon a horse farm in disrepair. We decided to put in an offer and it was readily accepted. We began to plan what this next phase of our life could be. Although completely new to the world of horses heading into our 60’s with big plans, we never imagined all the things we were about to learn and experience in the world of Friesians. After much hard work and dramatic changes around the property, Cherith Brook Farm was established in 2018. Plans were becoming reality.

On Valentines Day, February 2021 our first two Friesian mares (April and Arica) arrived at the farm. A few months later they had their first little foals and life has never been the same. Since those days, we continue to find blessing upon blessing in the love and wonder of this breathtaking breed.

We are deeply thankful to God for the majestic creation of these amazing horses and for what He orchestrates through them. We are beyond grateful for all He has brought to our lives and is doing here at Cherith Brook Farm and with Cherith Brook Friesians!

Soli Deo Gloria,

Wesley and Dawn Polsdorfer

Behind the Name

The name of our farm was chosen from a fascinating story in the Bible where God tells Elijah to go hide and camp beside the brook Cherith during a time of great trouble and drought. It was there God took care of Elijah’s every need sending ravens with food each day and the brook Cherith supplied him with water to drink.

Cherith Brook Farm has symbolically become our place of provision. The place where God provides. (1Kings 17:1-4)
